Additionally, John was a good friend of my father. For a time, when I was 16-20 years old, I worked at KMTV also and learned more of the "lore" of Dr. San Guinary. John was a wonderful person with a bizarre sense of humor and he could tell the raunchiest jokes without offending anyone simply because he was so delighted. There was a television show made, shortly after John died, that talked about his years on Creature Feature. I don't know that KMTV would cooperate with anyone and who knows what they did with the old tapes. KMTV is NOT the place it was when John was there. In the 70's and 80's, there was a strong sense of commitment and family there...that's no longer the case. However, some of the people who were close to John are still around. Much of the crew that worked on the show is still in Omaha, however, many of them are no longer at KMTV. Good luck in your search for memorabilia and in any dealings with KMTV. Like I said, I know there was a show about Dr San Guinary on TV--probably in '89 or '90. I know because my dad was interviewed for it.
