The Doctor in front of the second Creature Feature
set.
In this bumper, The Sheriff from the classic "Old Home
Bread" commercials pays the Doc a visit. Notice the different camera perspective
of this shot as opposed to the above camera angle. KMTV's camera men used
to do a lot of slick production for the show in it's heyday. I always
appreciated it.
Sheriff write up the violations the Doc has apparently
done by claiming he was an "M.D.". The "reveal" is produced as Doc San
clarifies that while he is not an "M.D.", he does know a lot about MD...
Muscular Dystrophy. He begins to plug the upcoming MDA telethon.
In this bumper, Doc is visited by "Frank the Gangster"
(GUYS & DOLLS), who asks the Doc what is all the hub bub about these Spook-a-rama
kits. Note the different cover on the kit as opposed to the kit featured
elsewhere on this website.
Opening of the bumper, this time showing a lot more
of the set. Doc is arguing with a "Jacob's Ladder" that refuses to work.
Frank tries to convince Doc that he is a good guy at
heart. Unfortunately, the set lighting in this bumper is kinda low, so
the image is very dark.
Shot of the Doctor from the side angle in the bumper.
Here the Doc pals around with Carol Scott, the KMTV
weather lady of the time.
Doc notices Carol is wearing one of his Dr. San Guinary
t-shirts, which were popular in the seventies.
As he straighten out the shirt inorder to see it better
on camera, he mentions he see's her wearing one of his t-shirts. She looks
down and says, innocently"...you've seen these before..." and send him
cracking up in this outtake.
