The Story Behind These Photos

The following pages are some rare photos donated by former KMTV floor director Jamie Murray. These photos were to be used for promotional items, and being as such are of high quality, making them rather large files (on average 200k a piece).

This photo was taken during the taping of the "Mission Implausible" bumpers aired in 1976. The sequence opens with a tight shot on Dr. San Guinary's hand trying to light the fuse with a lighter as the "Mission Impossible" theme plays in the background. The fuse refuses to light....

... so Doc switches to a blow torch. Coincidentally the episode these bumpers were shot for I actually saw when it was originally broadcast... and the audio file of the shows theme music i have here on the site comes from this episode.
