The Story Behind These Photos
The
following pages are some rare photos donated by former KMTV floor
director Jamie Murray. These photos were to be used for promotional
items, and being as such are of high quality, making them rather
large files (on average 200k a piece).

Doc drinks a frothy concotion. This and the following
three images were for possible postcards for KMTV to give out as
promotional pieces.

Another angle of the same drink.
In this photo Doc is getting ready for the next
bumper while his guests, local contestants for a beauty contest,
look on. In this photo you can see Igor's "cage" (marked with a
sign that reads "Beware of wild beasts!") . The low lighting on
the set is the reason for the high contrast in this photo.
A sweet young thing looks on as Doc pontificates
to them. She's smiling an awful lot... i guess the doctor isn't
really THAT scary... :). Being on Creature Feature was considered
as cool thing back in the heyday of the show, and a lot of local
folks would appear on it to promote local events.
Sometimes guests on Creature Feature were
actual celebrities. In the next set of pictures actress Marcia Wallace
(of The Bob Newhart Show and, more recently, That's My
Bush!) makes a visit to the set.

Jamie, Marcia was in town doing some dinner theater at the time
and stopped in to promote the play.
